The Ministry of Agriculture, the Executive Bureau for the Acceleration of Aid Absorption and Support for Policy Reform (EB), and the International Development Center have organized in Aden a workshop on recommendations about institutional evaluation and capacity building for the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
The Ministry's deputy for agricultural production development, En Abdul-Malik Naji, underlined the significance of this workshop in addressing the issues of agricultural and fishery development, the key factor for development, stability and food security.
International and local experts exerted great efforts in the last months to evaluate the Ministry's current situation in general, he added, noting that the workshop was based on such evaluation, and is expected to result in a new vision for further bolstered partnership in the future in order to achieve food security and sustainable development.
EB managing director, Dr. Afrah Zouba, praised the efforts exerted by the Ministry in order to improve institutional work at different levels, underscoring the need for joint work to achieve sustainable, strategic goals in institutional building.
