The Yemeni interim capital of Aden on Thursday hosted the conclusion of a training workshop aimed to develop the skills of media staff in the Ministries of Education and Agriculture and Fisheries.
Organized by the Executive Bureau for the Acceleration of Aid Absorption and Support for Policy Reform (EB) in cooperation with CRS, the workshop provided 14 journalists from the two ministries with press editing skills, such as reporting, investigating, interviewing, and steps required to prepare press material, in addition to the know-how and skills needed to use social media networks, communicate, influence others and to manage media campaigns.
The workshop included lectures - delivered by trainer Abdurrahman Anees - on how to develop press statements and releases, manage media campaigns and fend off counter-campaigns.
The participants also received knowledge on professional ethics, preparation for and management of press conferences, and reporting and editing for online and social media including the context of footages and infographics.
